In late 2007, Wilco employees overwhelming selected Ronald McDonald House Charities as the charity to be the recipient of proceeds from their annual Employee Shop Night and Employee Appreciation Dinner Auction.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, with support from RMHC Global, offers grants to charitable organizations that provide free immunizations and dental care to children in Oregon and Southwest Washington. In 2007, grants totaling $160,000 ($80,000 in local funds and $80,000 in matching support from RMHC Global) were awarded to nine programs that served approximately 24,000 children.

Last year, Carson and Conner Terry donated close to $1,200 in toys to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, opting not to ask for birthday gifts from friends. Instead, those friends donated money to the twins’ charitable cause. So the only question that remained for the now nine-year olds from Lake Oswego was what to do for an encore.

Gran Prix Imports, a luxury auto dealership in Wilsonville, and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) recently hosted more than 80 members of RMHC’s Tanner Society for a celebration with “Poker Joe and the Pros.”
