Teamwork helps Pilots reach their goal
The University of Portland Women’s Soccer team recently unveiled a themed room at the Ronald McDonald House after raising more than $6,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & Southwest Washington during the 2008 season.
After volunteering for years to make dinner for families, the team decided to take their support one step further by adopting a room. To reach their goal, they held fundraisers at their games, solicited donations through alumni and organized a silent auction.
