As a founding partner of the Ronald McDonald House, the McDonald’s Owner Operators of Oregon and Southwest Washington started supporting this organization two years before the West House opened 25 years ago. Now, 37 owner operators are being recognized for their ongoing support of children and families through advocacy, event sponsorship, volunteerism, individual and group donations, and year-round fundraising efforts, including the “RMHC Everyday” coffee promotion, in-store donation boxes and World Children’s Day.

 

Even while they’re ensuring the daily delivery of products to all the McDonald’s restaurants in the region, Golden State Foods is giving back to RMHC. Whether cooking meals for families, conducting fundraising events such as golf tournaments and poker parties, sponsoring other service activities, or delivering supplies to our houses and events, the management and employees of Golden State Foods help whenever they are asked. Golden State Foods is also a major sponsor of all of RMHC’s annual fundraising events.

 

For the last decade, Parr Lumber Company has been building hope in the hearts of Ronald McDonald House families. The company’s support, which began with RMHC’s 1999 “Light the House” campaign, has expanded to include employee volunteerism, the decoration of a room in the East House, assistance with capital projects, an annual Parr/RMHC float in the Rose Festival Starlight Parade, unique holiday promotions, and most recently a portion of proceeds from year-round product sales. Parr Lumber has truly adopted RMHC as its “charity of choice.”
