Famous Dave’s opens doors and hearts to Ronald McDonald House families
The new Famous Dave’s restaurant in Tualatin turned its staff training day into a successful charitable event for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Oregon and Southwest Washington (RMHC) by raising $1,377.
Customers received a free meal on May 23 in order to get the staff prepared for their official opening two days later. After their meal, customers were invited to make a donation to RMHC. In addition to customer donations, the Famous Dave’s staff decided to donate their tips for the day.
“The generosity of the community and the Famous Dave’s staff is truly inspirational,” stated RMHC’s Kate Bowman. “Everyone was so enthusiastic about supporting families with sick children staying at Portland’s two Ronald McDonald Houses.”
