Dynalectric puts safety first for RMH families
Nine electricians from Dynalectric decided recently to keep their work day going a little longer by volunteering their services at the Ronald McDonald House located next to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and OHSU.

“During a recent tour, we saw the need to do some immediate work in the house to keep the house safe for families and children,” stated Dynalectric Foreman TR Riehl. “One of my own children was admitted to the hospital while we were on vacation in Florida, so I know how important it is for families to have a place to stay when they are far from home.”

Volunteers provided these services:
·  Replaced exit signs and provided back-up batteries.
·  Updated 150 electrical outlets to ensure that they were tamper-proof/child-resistant.
·  Replaced exhaust fans in each of the guest bathrooms.
More than 60 hours were provided in electrical services and all the materials were donated.

“We work all day at OHSU, so we all wanted to help when we found out the Ronald McDonald House needed our help,” explained Dynalectric Foreman David Ganberg. “Our local union encourages us to help in our community and this is a great way to give back.”
